Memoir Project

For this creative assignment you can present the memories of a travel experience (yours or someone else's) in any number of creative ways. As I have suggested you may write out a memoir, conduct an interview, create a podcast, create a piece of visual art, make a google map rich with tagged locations, etc.
Ask me about your idea for creating a memoir so I can approve it ahead of time.

Write a two-page analysis of your memoir. If you wrote a memoir I would expect 2 pages of memoir and two pages of analysis. If you created a piece of visual art, I would expect you to analyze your own art in two pages of formal writing.
The idea is to critically engage with the travel memoir you created. Think about the themes we have been developing throughout the term when discussing at the American literature we've read. Ask similar questions about your memoir as we have all been asking about the nightly readings. What "Questions of Travel" does your memoir ask? Are there any answers to these questions? How are these questions (and maybe answers) significant not only to you, or the person whose memoir you have represented/recorded but also to the rest of us (your audience).
